Long time no sew.

I didn't even finish the dress I wanted to make Kayleigh for Valentine's day :( BUT this past week I got my butt in gear and made her a new dress for easter. She ADORES it! and was SO excited to wear it and go see the easter bunny wearing it. She was so cute. The minute she stepped into his little area at the mall she daintily pulled up her skirts a tiny bit and began babbling on and on about wearing her "easter bunny dress"

Blankets today. BUT the 2nd one had some issues and I can't send it out like that so tomorrow I'm going to have to figure out time to re-do and get it in the mail for thursday. I still need to work on K's valentine dress, too. and 3 other blankets. Busy me...

Busy Busy Busy...

I've been busy and will be busy for the next week at least. I've got 5 blankets to make. I cannot believe I sold 5 blankets this week!! I've finished Jake's blanket and the ladybug top. I need to finish the superman set and get it in the mail on Monday. The ladybugs will be packaged up and shipped tomorrow.

So I didn't get to the ladybugs last night...

I did get them started this morning after a couple hours of attempting to locate my extra yardage I was finally able to cut out 2 longer pieces. I now have it nearly done. I just need to attach the bottom ruffle and top stitch the hem. I've been working on another top using the same pattern in an assembly line type process. I need to go pick up a pair of jeans to go with the 2nd top. Photos to come...

Sewing the ladybugs tonight.

I got my pink thread finally. I got out of there with only 2 spools of thread and some elastic. I need to go back and get some cotton batting, but that can wait for the weekend I think. I may re-cut the ladybugs because I think it may be a tad short, but that will go fast and I can do something else with the one I've already cut.

Also, I finished Jake's little blanket yesterday before dinner. He loves it. Pictures are on the camera. Once I pull them off I'll post here.

Where the stash is

Here is a peek at my wall of fabric in the upstairs closet. I've got more fabric around the house, but this is what I use most often. This is mostly cotton prints, minky, cords, and knits. I just cleaned it back up. Mostly anyway.
















Today I'm working on Jake's little throw he's requested with "orange fluffy stuff on the back" I've got it laid out and pinned. Orange swirl Minky on the back with a Outerspace planets and rockets print on the front. I hope to finish it before picking him up from preschool today. Photos to come.
